I mean lbr at the 200k mark the writers are, or should be, writing for themselves. If you're churning out 200k on the chances of getting comments that's all sorts of doing things wrong

This. Especially on a self-indulgent trope like Oc/Canon. If they are writing it for that long, it means they probably do not care if it gets any attention. Good for them, good for them.

"Good for them" - exactly. I love when people write and post these long self indulgent fic. I'm not going to read them, but I love seeing them and always think "good for you, you do your thing!"
