I LOVED Homeward Bound as a kid, but as an adult, I haven't rewatched it because I was convinced the Sassy cat actually was endangered or a double died. I finally looked it up and was so relieved to find out no animals were harmed making the movie. I'm rewatching it tonight!

No animals were actually harmed during shooting, but iirc Shadow's animal actor and voice actor died shortly after. I still can't stand watching Sassy go over the waterfall.
