It’s a bit late in the season for it but I’m covering some bald spots in the yard with clover seed and also putting wildflower seed down along the retaining wall. I think most will germinate because it’s nearly impossible for things to NOT grow here. I have straw to cover it so fingers crossed 🤞

I did that pretty late last year and about half the clover survived! Make sure you are watering it daily for the first week or so, that seemed to be the trick with mine. The one patch I was like "eh it'll be fine" and lazy about watering at the start was not in fact fine and died :(

Oh thank you! I can easily see me getting lazy about it but if I go in with a stern mindset I’m usually pretty good at following up on my responsibilities.

Good luck! We got a big bald spot from where I got a new garden bed. I think we'll have it until next year, lol.

Hahaha yeah I feel ya! That little spot of hillside has gotten worse each year and this week I noticed the whole property has greened so it really sticks out. We have forbs instead of grass so it isn’t really an eyesore but this will help with erosion control and also muddy paw prints coming through the kitchen door. I have a long carpet runner there to catch it all, but still…
