Knitting is super easy, and awesomely fun if you commute like I do!
Mine are going to be a VERY similar greeny color. I got the pattern and yarn from Knitpicks.com. Should be super adorable when I'm finished!

http://www.knittinghelp.com is the best place I've found for learning how to start.
http://www.knitpicks.com/patterns/Line_by_Line_Mittens_to_Gloves_Pattern__D50772220.html has a GREAT pattern. Get the Parsley yarn, that's the closest I've found (I'm colorblind...though, so, they may not be TOO similar) Not only that, but you don't have to worry about the finger's fraying if you knit it yourself!
Knitting gloves requires Double Pointed Needles, which is a little intimidating to learn, but EASY once you learn how to do it!
And of COURSE I'll wear those suckers EVERYWHERE! ^_^
After I knit those, I need to knit the scarf in my icon...but I want bigger needles for that...
I could talk about yarn forever. If you're ever in the SF Bay Area, CA, look me up, and I'll teach you how to do it! I've taught...five? people now how to knit. Takes about an hour!
