I'm an all-around fan, too! I mostly liked the last two seasons of SG-1, though really, there came a time when Daniel may as well have changed his name to "Mary Sue Jackson."

I was a late-comer to SGA -- started about mid season 3 and devoured the 2.5 seasons I missed veerry quickly...which might have been why by the end my patience for Rodney's histrionics and Ronon's shoot-first, ask-questions-never mentality was beginning to wear thin, but not so much that it kept from really enjoying it a lot.

I've seen Air parts 1-3 of SGU (parts 1 and 2 ran together in a two-hour block on premiere night, part 3 was last week) and I'm not 100 percent sold, but I'm certainly not ready to write it off. It has its moments where it really feels like Stargate but then a lot of times when it doesn't.

I think I just realized it's because we have not been presented with a Big Bad. And I think it's fine to take a new angle like that, it's just going to take some getting used to.

I kind of feel like SG-1 should have ended around season 8 at the latest, it just seemed too...not!sg-1-y. Daniel changed ALOT. Kind of for the worse :/

I love the first season of Atlantis and the 2nd was good, but I found myself kind of falling away from watching it maybe around late season 3, early 4. I haven't actually finished season 4 and haven't seen most of 5, I keep meaning to come around it.

I'm going to have to watch the first ep because I didn't know the names of any of the characters, but I'm not enamoured with any of them right now, but then I remember feeling that way about Atlantis when it first started out so we'll see. The film style seems like it's trying to be a bit like BSG though.

I understand the BSG-feel to SGU. I can't believe they decided to start calling hyperspace FTL! As if there weren't enough reason to be making the comparison!

I feel kind of bad, because I know the names of the main men, but I have no clue who the women are -- and I even like the medic! I don't dislike the senator's daughter, but I don't care that she's there, either.

Coolio :D What have they started calling hyperspace? I wouldn't feel bad, to be honest I didn't get past the basic first impressions of the characters and so think of them as 'fat guy, meant to be funny' 'that guy from 28 weeks later' 'blonde soldier lady' and 'dude who's passed out' etc, etc :P

I have some catching up to do on the weekend, methinks :P
