What is everyone doing?

I'm visiting my sister again this weekend after a hellish work Friday. We are celebrating my BIL's birthday. Tomorrow we are going to make homemade pizza or pretzels, we haven't decided. If anyone has a full proof pretzel recipe, I'd love it!

Sunday my partner's sister will be in town; we're married but this will my first time meeting one of their family members face to face. I'm a lil nervous. ;o; So I'll probably be spending Saturday cleaning!

..and then Monday I start a new job! Woo!

If you plan to make pretzels, go with one of the recipes that includes boiling the dough. I also highly recommend using pretzel salt if you can get your hands on it. I have to order mine from Amazon (Hoosier Hills brand).

We are definitely boiling them! We will have to see if we can get pretzels salt quickly online. Walmart did not have any. :(

I might dabble with being awake for a couple of hours. Maybe, if I feel like it.

I need to poke the folks I applied to.

I quit my recent job because... well we were going on strike what felt like constantly.. and ... well tbh ...the new HR lady was a nightmare. She once wrote me up for 'doing nothing and just walking around" all the time claiming it was a struggle to keep me on task when really I was doing a lot of returns asked of me by another head clerk . and then the day I left I had been bagging and took three perishable items from the checkstand i was bagging at to return. I was quick bc well they were perishable, and as I was returning the third one , she started calling me by name over the intercom until I got there (i ended up bumping a random guy in my haste and hurry bc well she was calling me by name , only for him to come to her to complain that I bumped him so she chewed me out for THAT too) and after that she demanded me stay bagging as the person I was bagging for and others had to personally call people from other departments to get their returns because it was demanded that I couldn't go anywhere...

Yeah I saw the writing on the wall , she was singling me out as a problem employee and if I stayed she was going to keep finding reasons to write me up until I was fired. I dealt with this bullshit from my supervisor at walmart. So I quit. Bc it's easier to explain to my next job why I quit rather than why I was fired.

So I'm looking for a job. Again.

Housework, because we've been in almost every day to see dad at the hospital

I remember you mentioning him last week. I'm sorry things haven't improved (or have they).

He's out of critical care and back on the surgery ward, responding well to treatment and physio. So it has gotten better but he's not home yet :(

Received some rough news, so will probably be taking the weekend a bit easy, with lots of video games. Too hot to bake, but I'll probably cook some comfort food.

I'm sorry. And it sucks you can't bake.

Today I'm going one city over to see the International Food Market and see what I might be in the mood for.

Then I'll be going to my first Roller Disco night in Gothenburg on Sunday evening together with a few people from my roller derby club.
