I was raised mainline proddy in 90s Australia and it was a disappointment when the Jesus tape came out every year right before Easter at youth group. I'm pretty sure it was made by the Latter Day Saints and distributed by Lifetime or something. After a whole ass education having to suffer through that, I noped out at the Passion of the Christ. You can be empathic and understanding of someone's sacrifice with having to watch it in gory detail on a 20 foot screen.
