have had nearly the same experience. made a fanvid, posted it, but then bad stuff went down in the fandom (unrelated) and no one really wanted to pay attention. it was practically ignored.

then one day I got this comment out of the blue saying it was the best video the person had watched all week. :DDDDDDD
