But seriously, I have discussed this at length with all four Batman fans in my family, and we all agree; Alfred's the only one where if he died we would be completely bummed out. Batman basically chose his life; Alfred's still there out of loyalty, love, and 100% A-grade pure AWESOME.

Alfred is better than Bruce. Michael Caine is better than Christian Bale. These are both facts. Whether or not Alred is better than Batman, is a completely different matter.

Me! My friends and I have started using 'Alfred' instead of 'Chuck Norris' in the Chuck Norris facts, because it is so true. Alfred can do ANYTHING, and obviously Batman's only job is being the pretty-boy frontman.
