I dunno, I can't love Scott Westerfeld the way I did when I was thirteen. There just seems to be something sort of shallow and weird about his newer books, and one of them even seemed like some sort of self-interest fantasy (Peeps, namely).

Say what? I'd be happy if even one author of the slightest reknown showed up here - whether I liked them or not - but all we guess is this shit-ass local writer if/when he puts out a new book and nothing else. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. So try and think positively, at leat you don't live where I do :D

Gyah, this hits a nerve because one of my favourite authors (Eoin Colfer) was signing in the city I live in on Tuesday at half one - and I had a lecture at two I couldn't skip. The second it was over, I was on the train into the city, and I missed him by ten or fifteen minutes D:.
