Ugh. Nothing against the actress, but I hated the whole Rose/10 thing and it got way too much screentime as it is.

(useless context: i was deep in the fandom years back, now i happily completely moved on after they fucked up the lore one too many times during Whittaker's run)
is this how i discover that "Rose" is the new doctor??? HOW. How is that possible.
And I don't even dislike Rose that much, but why does the Doctor now have her appearance?
I hate it.
The only good think that can come from this is all the "selfcest" shipping, honestly. I hope people will have a good time with that.

How is Rose the Doctor? I am clearly very out of the loop with DW.

But I too hated Rose by the end of her run. She was fun in the beginning, then just got really annoying and they pushed the whole love thing so much I just wanted her gone and never to see her again by the end.

The Fifteenth Doctor regenerated into Rose or someone with Rose’s face.

From what I've seen, the Doctor basically used the heart of the TARDIS to force himself to regenerate (for plot reasons), and we see him apparently regen with Rose's face right before the episode ends. I don't think that it has been 100% confirmed if this is actually the Doctor or if there's some kind of time/universe/reality fuckery switcheroo going on. As far as I know the show runners have only said that they're welcoming Billie Piper back but not said anything about her playing the role of the Doctor or returning as Rose. I've seen it speculated that it's something to do with the Bad Wolf (since the last person to use the heart of the TARDIS was Rose Tyler).

I mean, I like Billie Piper, I'm sure her ACTING will be fine at least. And I hate this less than how the last two regenerations went. (David Tennant wasn't always my least favorite Doctor, however) But yeah, still feels like a bad choice made out of desperation for publicity, and I doubt that bodes well for the writing.

I want to believe she’s not the next Doctor because she wasn’t credited as such when both Ncuti Gatwa and Jodie Whittaker were. I think she’s going to play another role and we’ll see Ncuti back for a proper farewell (or maybeI’ve been huffing the copium too hard IDK).

With how sudden everything seems to have been with the ending of the series, I suspect that Billie Piper is a temporary Doctor just like David Tennant was as the 14th Doctor. Even moreso with the possibility of the next series being released in 2027 at the earliest (maybe to have time to audition for another doctor - unless David Tennant is going to be the next one again or one of his clones comes forth).

I loved Rose with Nine, but not with Ten.

I think Billie Piper could be a fantastic Doctor if it were played genuinely, but it's just going to turn into more RTD nostalgia bait and I'm not here for that.
