Anything fun planned for this weekend? I just got back from a family thing and will be catching up on chores, so nothing exciting here.

I'm trying to make a calzone today and will be playing a ton of video games.

Thinking about going to the No Kings protest in my area but not fully committed yet.

Other than that, boring normal life chores. I've been gone the last few weekends so lots to catch up on. Mowing the lawn, so much laundry and cleaning, etc.

Be safe if you go! Also, mowing the lawn is the WORST chore. I hated doing it as a kid.

Thanks! I am a tad nervous because I attended protests during 2020 in my town and the police brutality was something else to witness. I am going to see if a friend will go with so it won't be quite as nerve wracking.

Definitely make sure people know where you are in case you get taken in. And that your phone has a pass code lock and not face/fingerprint. You can't trust cops to not being pieces of shit and try to get into your phone illegally. If you remember (no pressure), message me on Sunday that you are safe!

Seeing How to Train Your Dragon sunday. Other than that, just resting. I took today off work. I just needed a break.

Going into the hospital to see dad. He's in ICU atm due to fluid on his lungs the other day and is expected to be in there over the weekend.

Other than that, probably taking it easy. I'm so exhausted from everything and start a new permanent job on July 1st. I'm glad I have this time to rest and recuperate and help around the house.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry you are going through that but it's great that you are close enough to visit him.

Definitely take some time for yourself! Congrats on the new job but I know how stressful starting a new role is.

Do you really not understand what venting is? Someone made an exceptionally kind offer to you to help you because you’re hurting and you lashed out. And then demanded they tell what they would do for you in return for you venting to them. That’s honestly insane. There’s no need to be a jerk and it’s super weird you attacked and then implied they should do anything for you. If this is typical behavior for you, then you’re not trapped with no way out, you’re just an asshole who’s burned too many bridges.

Visiting dad who mostly lives out of state with his girlfriend but always comes home around Father’s Day. I’m excited this year because I found a great gift for him and usually I only give him a card (we don’t buy to buy so gifts are never guaranteed for holidays).

Currently waiting for the tourney to start at a local medival fair.

Tomorrow I'll be in Göteborg to watch the National Championship finals of HEMA. Might get to chat with a friend who is flag referee.

Oh, I was only watching. I lack horse, equipment and skills, haha.

My ankle is healed, but pretty sore after a 12 kilometer walk followed by sparring this last thursday. It'll be fine in time for next semester.
