I don't have any personal feeling about that but it does get weird that every trans male character has the same exact type of signature scars when in the real world I would bet everyone opts for the more modern, less obvious types of reduction now if they can. Lots of IRL trans men have no scarring at all. Same goes for trans female characters that always always allllwaaaays seem to have dicks and balls when lots of real life trans women don't have them and really want them gone.

I get people's kinks are their kinks, but it gets pretty weird.

Idk if I'd even say it was always a kink. I genuinely think a lot of people who do trans art and trans headcanons are pretty uneducated about trans stuff in general. I wouldn't be surprised to learn they probably think every trans man has scars like that. Same goes for the trans lady art.

Or trans people just... Like this stuff? My trans husband loves stylized scars, for example, as does EVERY SINGLE trans man I know because they think it's cool in a art. My husband wants to get fucking sick tats over his scars when he finally can get the tatas removed, to emphasize he had some kind of top surgery in a way he likes, even.

Trans anon here who would like to see more non-scarred people like me. Bilateral keyhole + lipo, went from B to 0. Sone around 2015. Literal doctors examining my chest cannot tell there used to be breasts there.

I don't exist or must be lying because you haven't met me, right?

I mean, my BF is trans too? He has no visible scarring, either upper or lower where he had a full hysto/oo. While he has no preference for scar art or scarless art, he dislikes that there's an implication that all trans men have aggressive scarring. Which they don't?

We can anecdote all day, or we can agree there is no monolith, people have preferences, not all trans bodies are the same, and it's okay to want all sorts of bodies in art including scarless ones.

I told him about this thread and he said he used to have more marks on his chest when he used to wear bras from the chafing, lolll.

da and yeah, one of my friends is trans and I've seen him at the beach in a swimsuit and literally had no idea he was trans until he mentioned it offhandedly one day. He doesn't have any scarring at all.

Impossible challenge: FS stop being like right wing politicians and learn to not jump to the conclusion that insert thing here about being trans must be a kink.

What a wild take. Its like you didn't really read the whole comment or discussion and just took a flying leap to a conclusion where you could be angry.

Why do some people act like they are the only trans person on FS and authority on the subject of how it is appropriate to discuss these topics, when other people in these threads have admitted to being trans themselves and could easily be these anons?

I really don't know. It keeps being wild to me how at least one person here keeps writing comments like they are the only person who knows anything about trans and it's their holy mission to educate the nonnies. In the face of ... tons of evidence to the contrary.

Why does it being a kink make it a bad thing though? Kink isn't bad. A lot of the art is just stylized or representing the variety of trans bodies without kinking on it of course, and I get what you mean about not assuming it's a kink at first glance, but I don't see it as problematic to say that lots of trans fanart does have kinky intentions. I mean... so does lots of fanart in general, and certain tropes are often popular because people find them hot, including plenty of trans people.

The vast majority of trans fic or fanart is kink stuff, cope.
