Re: Secrets you don't want to make...
(Anonymous) 2025-06-13 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)I don't have any personal feeling about that but it does get weird that every trans male character has the same exact type of signature scars when in the real world I would bet everyone opts for the more modern, less obvious types of reduction now if they can. Lots of IRL trans men have no scarring at all. Same goes for trans female characters that always always allllwaaaays seem to have dicks and balls when lots of real life trans women don't have them and really want them gone.
I get people's kinks are their kinks, but it gets pretty weird.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-13 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)Idk if I'd even say it was always a kink. I genuinely think a lot of people who do trans art and trans headcanons are pretty uneducated about trans stuff in general. I wouldn't be surprised to learn they probably think every trans man has scars like that. Same goes for the trans lady art.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-14 01:58 am (UTC)(link)I don't exist or must be lying because you haven't met me, right?
Re: Secrets you don't want to make...
(Anonymous) 2025-06-14 02:06 am (UTC)(link)I mean, my BF is trans too? He has no visible scarring, either upper or lower where he had a full hysto/oo. While he has no preference for scar art or scarless art, he dislikes that there's an implication that all trans men have aggressive scarring. Which they don't?
We can anecdote all day, or we can agree there is no monolith, people have preferences, not all trans bodies are the same, and it's okay to want all sorts of bodies in art including scarless ones.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)I told him about this thread and he said he used to have more marks on his chest when he used to wear bras from the chafing, lolll.
