I mean, I think it's pretty obvious that most people would survive.

A non-insignificant number of people would actually die, though. Not because their Tumblr is gone but because physical aspects of their job/safety/whatnot directly relies on internet.

A less broad-reaching question might have been what happens if social media dies, but the question asked was broad.
