Worried about my ANG brother right now. :T He's here, but Trump clearly wants a war. He thinks it'll make everyone love him. He's just going to piss people off with this.

Aw man I’m sorry :( I was AD when we invaded Iraq and we had a guard battalion in our BDE and they were forced to go along with us. And then for years and years it was seemingly nonstop guard and reserve deployments and there was no need for it. 1/3 of the regular army was on deployment rotation so we’d go to Iraq for 12 months, come back for 12, then go again, rinse, repeat. And it wasn’t the same units, we’d come back and PCS to a unit on the next rotation. And the majority of the army was relaxing knowing they’d never deploy and when the ramp up’s happened they tapped guard even harder.

tl;dr your anxiety isn’t misplaced but hopefully your brother doesn’t get mobilized.

I'm hoping. He mostly does warehouse work right now, so I'm hoping they have no REASON to mobilize him.
