So the Supreme Court thinks it is totally okay to deport someone to a third country they've never been to without even giving them a chance to give evidence of why they might be tortured there. This is for people who have already been through horrific stuff and can't safely be sent to their home country. Fuck this country and its moronic, evil conservatives.

so much tax money wasted on these illegal immigrants. They should flee to any third world country if they are so afraid. Why do EU and USA have to spend so much money on them? Let them go to their neighbouring underdeveloped countries.

Boring bait.

Wow, you're misinformed and dumb. Impressive.

It's pretty awful, both from what you've said and what has been reported in the news. It was never about immigration or residency status, it's all about abducting and trafficking brown people.

One silver lining is that Mahmoud Khalil was released from detention. I know it's just one person out of countless others who were kidnapped and wrongly detained, but I hope it's the proverbial lego Trump and his goons step on barefoot every morning.

Oh that's definitely a silver lining. I'm focusing on them, even though they are few and far between. I got two clients out of court last week and another two we got out of detention. I keep doing this for the ones I can help. They make it worth it.

That's awesome!

not sure if I necessarily agree with that

It's horrifying, and is exactly the kind of thing where if it can happen to one person, it can happen to anyone. I think scaring the population in general is also a goal of this policy. It also goes directly against the Constitution, and I think another part of the point is to keep citizens so flooded with bad news that they stay too overwhelmed and anxious to effectively resist.
