Constant, petty bickering and fighting and one-sided negging and sniping (from Sam) does not say UST to everyone, let alone True Love. I didn't like the way Sam kept throwing Bucky's past as the Winter Soldier in his face, in spite of knowing what a sensitive issue that was for Bucky. Bucky also didn't seem like he thought that shit was as cute and funny as Sam did, either. It felt like the writers were trying to force a chemistry that just wasn't there for me, with the added assumption that of course Bucky was just another accessory that automatically goes along with the shield, and that of course, all good, right-thinking fans would just naturally agree with that.

Everything about the show seemed to be designed in a "this is what the cool, progressive kiddies like" way, while completely ignoring everything that had been established about both Bucky and Sam in the previous Cap trilogy (and in the comics themselves). The writer even admitted that he hadn't watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

It just felt like the writers assumed the audience was stupid.

SA It didn't help that Sam did so many things in that show that are deal-breakers for me when it comes to heroic, good-guy protagonists.
