I’m afraid I’m one of those people who never understood the appeal of media set is schools anyway so high school AUs have always been lost on me, especially ones where the setting is magical or fantastical in some way, what on earth is the appeal in stripping that away to put the characters in a regular school?

Especially when those characters are not going to be the same at all when removed from their settings.
