Who says it's a thread though? It might be them posting asking for recs on their blog, and people coming in on purpose to give answers they already know anon won't like.

If I ask for for a specific rec in a rec community and people reply with something totally off topic, it is rude and annoying. They are the ones that need to scroll on by.
