In fanarts, compared to fanfiction where there is more characterisation and the transness of the character can be more overt and development through their experiences and voice, it's not really necessary to distinguish between the two, I think. Especially since the fanarts usually depict the exact same body type structure you see in canon (where it's implied it's a cis man) + a pussy + top surgery scars. The only thing that changes is the scars. (and the mpreg if that's that type of art) If there is no top surgery scar it can be boypussy fantasy or a trans men. You don't actually know.
The types of stuff I like are T4T or dominant (usually top) trans men.
Again, I'm talking about porn fanart here.
