So I just went digging and one of the theories for him ghosting is he was trying to start a political career and his handlers/advisors wanted to distance him from "Hollywood" and acting so he'd be taken more seriously. That obviously didn't pan out and the dude could have just said something, but the timeline makes sense. He doesn't seem to have any animosity towards his cast, just went in a different direction and didn't inform them is all.

Though I do have a friend that met him once in public (they just happened to be at the same club) and they said they were shocked at what a creep he was. Drinking and partying and being gross with women.

yes! i also went digging and i agree with you. (and i wouldn't be surprised if he was indeed gross with women, seems it's a familial habit).
