I agree that looking for trans art without scars isn't inherently a bad thing. It was more the discussion that followed in the comments that made me compare them today. They definitely just wanted guys with vaginas, which is fair as a kink or a want but is different than transguys.

Your second paragraph is spot on and why the difference is important. So many people want trans headcanons or AUs but what they really want is PIV sex or some variation of that. I got so tired of looking for transfic that actually dealt with trans issues or gender issues at all and instead always ending up with kinkfic that was 90% of the time an excuse to write PIV sex.

Regarding the second thing that's my experience with fic and art tagged with trans labels too. Nothing wrong with having that as a kink but off-putting sometimes to hear someone say they love "trans Vash" and they don't mean "afab raised-female Vash" they mean "the exact same character but with a pussy. Also he loves bottoming in PIV ofc. Let me link you smut"
