He's a villain protagonist! This is rare and interesting, but even so I couldn't watch much of the show because I hated him so much and how he fucked up everyone else's lives around him. You are absolutely correct not to like him, and the fans who think he's cool and badass are reading the show really poorly.

yeah, people keep putting him in the anti-hero side because of mad men and the sopranos (which has another villain protagonist honestly) and the articles about those shows as a type of genre, but nah he's a villain from day 1.
