Just out of curiosity, why do the left hate it?

The right hate the excessive spending, but the left - and I admit this might just be a bubble thing - I haven't seen articulate why they oppose it. I have a few guesses, but I might be running to the uncharitable, so better to just ask, I think.

Millions of Americans will lose access to healthcare, food, education. Road and building infrastructure are already in bad states, losing funding here will only make roads and buildings more dangerous. The only people who benefit from this are the wealthiest Americans, who make up 1% of the population. They already have more money than they know what to do with and don't need.

I have family members who use Medicaid for healthcare and they need it. I worry how they/we can afford for their medication if they don't have the help from Medicaid.

Yeah. SNAP and disability are also already hard to get on (I was rejected from the former), the option is going to be cut off from more people. My state has the most uninsured people including veterans I see daily, so I don't know how anyone is going to manage Medicaid getting cut either. I'm all for lower taxes but what the fuck will this accomplish?

I'm disabled but not officially so because it's a bullshit process that takes years and I need medical proof to get it. Which I can't get without healthcare. Which I can't have without Medicaid. Which currently doesn't have work requirements where I live.

The bill will force this. I will have to kill myself working just to have medical insurance to get diagnosed for disability at which point my working will be used against me.

And that's just ONE part of it.

I think non-Americans realize the US healthcare system is broken, but they don't understand how truly broken it is because it's honestly difficult to wrap their minds around the idea that it can be as bad as it is.

Because there's no easier way to pretend there's some sort of cancel culture than to just vaguepost about all the things you would want to say but you ~can't~ because it might ~trigger the lefties~.
