(Anonymous) 2025-07-03 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)The other place I think there's a split is that 'noncon' can be used in situations where it's not dubcon *to the audience*, but it is to the perpetrator-- if Character A knows this is very much a situation they aren't consenting to and so does the audience, but for any reason Character B does not understand that, then I can see 'noncon' as a sort of soft nuance zone between 'dubcon' and 'rape'.
