Yeah, I'm not in Japan any more. I sold a lot of stuff when I returned home a few years ago (got quite a bit of money on some rare stuff, too!), but I also sent home a lot of doujinshi and manga. I don't regret having them because I can still use them as a studying tool, but I got too many now and I'd like to sell at least some to make space for new books.
Now, the action figures... I care about a few of them, especially the pricier ones, but I'd like to sell like 80% of my collection for sure.

Oh, I agree! I do have a system of putting some of the "maybe I care for them maybe I don't" stuff into a box I keep hidden for a while. I then revisit the box every few months and see what emotion they evoke in me. If it's... nothing, then it's time to go! But then I actually have to put them online and I don't, whoops.
I also fortunately don't hate any fandom I've got merch for! I just don't care anymore and I doubt I will again in the future. So at least there's that.

that's a brilliant method, actually. I did the same when I wanted to sort my paraphernelia into storage - books and papers versus trinkets, you don't know how something will make you feel until you hold it again.
