Do you think kids are just being ripped from their parents and adopted out? Because there have been a few hundred American kids so far this year who were murdered because the system is absolutely geared toward keeping kids with their birth families. You can rest easy knowing that the social services agree with you that a life of abuse and extreme poverty are better than a loving, financially stable home.

Most children in the system are not adopted. They are in foster care or group homes. Unless you are a baby, adoptions isn't really the status quo.
