This park and fountain scene actually appears in several Japanese high school dramas. It's a very common location.

Did you get the picture from an anime/game? It was probably based on the actual park.

On the rare occasion I bring my computer into public, I hope someone will recognize my desktop. It's extremely obscure, and I have it because I like how it looks, but if someone said "oh, is that from _____?" I'd be so excited.

I've only had one experience where a stanger recognized some of the buttons on my bag. As for my guess, it's been a while since I last watched the show but is the wallpaper from Kanon? It reminds me a lot of the fountain where Shiori and Yuichi discussed some things near the end of her story in the anime.

Why not just join the comm for that game or arrange to meet an actual fan of that game in real life, if possible? Just waiting for a fan to randomly show up and notice it may take forever. Though I suppose you could try going to an environment with anime fans for better luck.

I mean, I'd think most BL fans would be focused on the characters and action going on, and not so much on the background art. It doesn't seem distinct enough to stand out.

This looks hella like the end of this street I saw in Japan called sakura-doori. But hell, I'm sure there's dozens of parks all over Japan that look exactly like this. Except that there should be more people there. Lots more people there. XP
