So, like, the #rallyforsally people can be truly obnoxious. No two ways about that. And pre-Flynn/Yardley era Archie comics tend to lean into "boys look like sonic characters, girls look like hourglasses" in the way kinda exemplified by the image in the secret.

But! Sally is a great character, as are all the Freedom Fighters, and I'd love to see her back again! It's not because I dislike anything that's come since, it's not because of any sort of shipping motivation. It's just because she's neat! When she (and the other female characters) is drawn in keeping with the rest of the Sonic cast, she looks fine! No more uncanny than anything else from the Sonic universe anyway, lmao.

As for treating Sonic like shit, just gonna have to disagree on that front. She had her highs and her lows, just like any character, and sometimes that meant losing her temper with the people she cared about. Kinda love that about her, honestly. She's at her best when she's not being written as a trophy but instead as a whole character with good and bad qualities!

I stopped following IDW when the pandemic hit but I thought most people accepted the Archie characters aren't coming back for copyright reasons.

I loved the freedom fighters so it's sad they're gone, but it's so silly to think they'll ever be back. Ah, but what I would do to see Antoine and Bunnie...

OP, I can tell you didn't grow up with the Sonic cartoons in the '90s or you'd know Sonic/Sally is OTP, and any other ship sucks! I'll always ship them, idgaf.

I loved the SatAM cartoon, still think about it fondly. But I never got to read the comics, and from what I've read on the internet, I don't think I'd be a fan. Kinda hate the art style they used for the female characters, too.
