Oh wow. This comment made me very much aware that not everyone know how Catholics treat the old testament. Moses is one of the biggest characters in the bible. We (I was raised catholic, but not in the USA) celebrate the fact that he's Jewish. He liberate the Jewish people from Egypt, which is probably the most important story in the old testament for our religion. Like, before Jesus (who was Jewish and everyone knows that - barred bigoted and ignorant antisemitic people), there was Moses.

Moses is even more important in Islam. It's one of their biggest prophets.
