tbh both versions are fun to watch but they've got different vibes. Korean focuses more on villainy and over the top drama while Japanese focuses more on emotional growth and finding happiness. Both great, but different greats. JP version is also a bit more streamlined while KR version gets a bit bogged down in sideplots.

I thought the ending was satisfying. The bad guys were either dead or in jail and the heroine and her love interest get married and live happily ever after, having changed their original fates.
