All sympathy for those who engage in discourse in these troubled times, but the connection to fandom seems very tenuous. If this is about a specific fandom issue, could you give me some more detail and the fandom in question? Otherwise if it's a general politics-related vent, it'd be better suited to the General Comments.

Hi, secret maker 👋
This was written thinking of my own fandoms. Internet has this thing of assuming everyone who speaks English is US American and automatically responsible for the sad state of affairs like it isn’t maybe a dozen IT bros with too much time and money ruining things for us all. It’s been bad to fandom in times like this, my secret initially was along the lines of how I am about to cut off all non professional contact with the world because it’s job + fandom but then I thought maybe that was too dramatic and kept it short and sweet. with the point being along the lines of don’t be rude to the apoliticals in fandom because they sure as hell aren’t to blame for your country’s president any more than you are. Going “have an opinion on this thing going on in my country” on someone that uses fandom to try to stay afloat is uncool. Dunno how to rephrase it

Yes, that's rather difficult to make into a concise secret - and very confusing, because your initial comment doesn't mention anything about the whole American vs. non-American issue. I'm not sure how to rephrase it either (mostly because I'm still not entirely sure I understand what the issue is here) but I suggest that if you want to submit this as a secret, try making it more about fandom and less about politics. It'd help if you just came out and said what fandom this was, too. Being vague makes it even more confusing and it feels more off-topic.

The idea that it’s a vs thing to begin with is the problem, it’s not a vs thing it’s more: we ALL have a lot on our plates right now because of Administration from hell spilling on other countries unless u’re wealthy or idk Nordic maybe lol so please WAKE up like… mature, grow up, and keep fandom to fandom was my point. Like here is ok because there is a politics thread but this does not happen in my fandom. And it’s wearing me out to see people going all first world problems like omg maybe I will have to study in the UK for two years! And I am supposed to pretend to care because they are a BNF but they never cared for me lol disgusting
Obviously making the fandom would make it less if a secret vent - I have TOO MUCH IN MY FUCKING PLATE you don’t fucking UNDERSTAND so I am not picking a fight with them but let it be known that if you’re one of the Everyone is US American or Has to care types right now you ARE the problem xx
