2. We are talking about the show, it's explicitly shown that him being gay isn't connected with him being serial killer. He had sex just for the fun of it.
3. So. He stops being serial killer and suddenly he is into women. Or at least one woman.

Iirc his original thing in the graphic novels was that he was primarily targeting young boys and eating their eyes.
