We went from, "this corpse must be a man because it was buried with weapons" to, "analysis of the skeleton shows it to be female; it may have been a woman all along, and we should perhaps learn not to make assumptions based on modern gender roles" to, "this corpse must be a transman because it was buried with weapons." A lot of people *think* that final conclusion is the most progressive one, but it's really the same as the initial one: weapons in a grave could only have possibly be used by a man, not by a woman.
