Don't be obtuse. It's about the trope, in shows and movies and shit, you know, fandom shit, where the Villain With Good Publicity is defeated because the fact that he's actually awful is revealed to the public. The secret is saying that's unrealistic because in real life the public doesn't care when someone with good publicity is openly a piece of shit. Comparing media tropes to real life is about fandom, and is very common here.
