What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm hoping to get a large chunk of my smallest crochet project done so I can move to something else. Dreading trying to sew pieces together. It is going to be much cooler this weekend so I should be able to go on a walk in the mornings! Might also do my first WoW dungeon now that my main is 80.

The big stuff (some repairs to AC and water heater) is done, so maybe going to the farmers' market to see if there's any decent stonefruit left and/or hitting the library for the book I requested.

Glad you got all the big chores out of the way, I'm glad you get a peaceful weekend!

Not to be a downer, but going to a funeral. Relative passed away rather suddenly so I am flying up to where they live to support the family and attend the funeral. I wasn't super close to this person, so it's not like a gut punch of grief for me but still sad. I mostly feel bad for their surviving family members and hope everyone coming up will be a comfort in some way.

Sorry for your loss. Good on you for going up to support them.

everything I wanted to do is on hold now because I tore a muscle in my forearm last night. picking things up is impossible, typing takes forever, all I can do is let it rest and cut down on my left-hand use of a computer. video games, yard work, cooking, and most other pursuits are Right Out.

Oh no! I hope your recover goes by quickly. I'm not sure how long something like that would take to heal.

ty kaijin you're a good bean. it depends on the severity of the tear, could be a couple weeks could be 3-4 months. if I can straighen my arm in the next few days, it's not severe and I should be ok sooner.

Work and I made the joke today that tomorrow we'd probably get our Christmas stock as it hasn't arrived yet... and then I realised that I likely cursed myself and now I'm annoyed, lol. Oh well if it turns up I'll manage, it's just extra shit to put away upstairs.

Christmas?!?! Is Halloween no longer protecting us from the invasion? I hope it doesn't show up!

We don't get Halloween stock in my store and tbh it's not as big of a thing where I live so there's a few silly bits and pieces you can get in other stores, but nothing like I see in the US. So yeah, Christmas prep very, very soon.

Relaxing mostly. Neck still unhappy (procedure seems not to have worked), and I have a major hearing monday. Tomorrow getting nails done (got hair done today) and massage.

Some job searching. And watching Babylon 5.

I hope you get a lot of relaxing in to prepare you for a busy week.

The pump for our well went out, so we just pulled it. I’ll have to source a new pump. I have laundry to do to prep for my SO to have a procedure on Tuesday. Recovery should be a week, but I’ll be minus their help. So we’ll be working on two person jobs this weekend trying to clear the decks for the recovery time. Also, I’m hoping to get a couple of small craft projects done.
Oh! I have to harvest apples and can/dry/freeze them, so I’ll be prepping for that, too. I can work on that while my SO is recovering, but it does help to have all my equipment ready.

Dang, that sounds like a busy and stressful weekend. I hope the small craft projects are a bit relaxing.

Definitely busy! Not too stressful; Tuesday will be awful.
I've been working on finishing craft projects that are 90% done and just need a little bit of time to finish. It has been very relaxing to see space and finished objects!

That’s when my SO has to go in for surgery. He’ll probably be fine, but…surgery always has some level of risk, and this is an intimate surgery. I’ll be stressed until he wakes up. It’s just how my brain works.

LARPing baby! I'm actually typing this while taking a break and listening to a bunch of my friends put up a valiant fight against zombies. I should really go help them, but I'm tired as *fuck* and that's something video games will never capture <3

And on Sunday I'm hosting my group through Curse of Strahd. Last game I jumped them with the Bone Grinder, now they have to make their way home. Well. Back to a town. Woo!
