(Anonymous) 2025-08-23 08:31 am (UTC)(link)In Trek, they assume a more militarised NASA and more advanced spaceflight capability, the Gary Seven episode even has NASA launching an orbital space platform of some sort. So you can put those two together fairly easily.
And I don't think I need to explain how Genies fit neatly into Trek, what with The Organians, the Prophets, the Q, and all the other godlike aliens all over the place.
Also everyone tends to end major life events in both shows by staring in the same direction and having an awkward smile and laugh...
