I had the same thing - I'd listen to her problems, let her rant, but she never once showed any inclination to do the same to me. *hugs* It hurts, but trust me, you'll eventually find the Sora to your Riku, so to speak.

Thanks guys, glad to know I'm not alone even if situations will always differ... And see, the thing is, I don't want to find a Sora. And besides, me being Axel, if I did, it would be mean it's time to die.. O_o XD

Er, wow, I just noticed that your comment was "Sora to Riku." My bad... And well, those two have their issues too, but it'd be nice to get a good 'ol nearly butt grabbing ending.

Everytime I read a "Axel to my Roxas" secret or vice versa.

I feel like I need to call child services.

Seriously? Axel was a complete douche, he worked behind his "friend's" back, didn't tell him anything, yet knew most of the answers. And when Roxas finally came back to his right mind Axel tried to kill him. He chose his comfy spot in the organization over his friend.

He only died after coming to the realization that Roxas was right and helped Roxas through Sora. He died to redeem his sins not for Roxas.

Is that what you're comparing yourself to? If so you might want to do a bit more thinking on your part.

Axel worked behind his back because, yes, for selfish reasoning, he didn't want to be turned into a Dusk. Not a pleasant fate, I would think, and he protected him where he could; which is difficult when you have destruction weighing over your head all of the time. When he was given orders to kill Roxas, he had it in mind that it was more so to bring him back than anything else. A bit like Xion, where he said he'd keep bringing her back. If he'd really wanted to kill Roxas, he wouldn't have confronted him. He would have done it like he always preferred to, through assassination or manipulation. He ended up dissenting from the Organization in order to right wrongs he had committed, true, but also because, just as he said, he'd wanted to see Roxas. He'd never fully realized that Roxas was gone until it was too late.

I whole heartily believe that Axel was completely in love with Roxas, and in order to keep him close, he lied to him. It was a mistake, one he tried to fix, but not nearly in time. Besides, all of his life as a Nobody, he was used to taking orders. He rebelled where he could, sarcastic remarks and the like, but still... In the end, he thought of himself as simply a soldier, a Nobody (yeah yeah, duh, I know. XD) Roxas made him break through his mold and develop fake emotions, likely remnants of his past self.

This secret is talking about Axel being the shiny angel, and did no wrong. He did a lot of wrong, he even ignored Roxas when Roxas needed him most. Roxas went on his own because there was no one else he could trust, that includes Axel.

According to KH2 his orders were to "eliminate" not retrieve (like they were at first). He could have tried to reason or talk to his friend (which he did at first) about what he was doing, but instead he went to attack him because of his orders. Damn, If he loves Roxas like that I'd hate to see people who hate him.

In the end all I'm saying is that the relationship is too effed up and there is no way Axel is the innocent party. in other words if you're the OP, then you want to be someone who lies, takes orders from those above, and ultimately fight with your friend.

Yes, his orders were to eliminate, but I don't think that was what Axel had planned. And remember, he is a *Nobody.* He's not supposed to have feelings! He's not innocent, that's for sure. I'm not saying he is. He did lie to Roxas, and yes, he did fight him; but only to keep someone *else* from fighting him.. Someone who would not have wasted time talking to dueling, someone who would have outright murdered him without a second thought. In my opinion anyways, I still say that if Axel had wanted him dead, he'd be friggin dead; Keyblade user or not.

Me not being the OP, I have no idea if, maybe, there's something deeper in their secret. I'm sure it's not exactly like Axel and Roxas, that'd be impossible.

I doubt that, Roxas had already beaten Saix (another friend of Axel's). Axel only murdered two members and that was only after they weakened severely. His intent was to kill Roxas I'm sure of it because he had left Axel and he had beaten his other friend.

Though I would grant Axel might not have eliminated him, but he knew he was going to be eliminated when he got back (the same way they planned for Xion to be eliminated).

Either way Axel underestimated Roxas, that is why he lost that battle ( he was shocked to see two keyblades but he had gone past the point of no return, but that's getting off subject: Axel was an asshole, douche, or insert insult here of a "friend" that is my only point. If he really loved Roxas their relationship would be more fucked up than Twilight's relationships.

I still think you're pretty much wrong... And wait a minute, Saix, a friend? I think not. A superior, a disdained one at that. Perhaps when they were humans, but clearly not as Nobodies. And Axel murdered two members after they were weakened, and that is the point. He would never outright fight someone he wanted to kill. He's too intelligent for that, and he knows his limits.

And the 'two?' was only put in there because no other English word fit what it was supposed to be. What that was, I can't even recall at the moment...

Axel was a bit of an asshole, I'll concede that, but he was also a friggin Nobody for Christ's sake. We're dealing with him as though he actually has the human capability of emotions, though I do believe be developed an illusion of them through Roxas, and that was when he began to change (such as dealing with 'complications' for Roxas and the like.) And as for Nobodies and feelings in general, we'd be opening a whole other can of worms, so...

We're just going to have to agree to completely disagree at this point. Debating it further is pointless, since we're never going to settle this, O_o

He was far more loyal to Saix than to Roxas when it mattered. They are essentially Sociopathic/Psycho pathic or another type of social disorder that allows one to mimic emotions. It doesn't mean they really don't have emotions. Xemnas could have been lying to them the whole time, him being the only one truly without emotions because of how his Nobody was created.

The two? what are you talking about? There are plenty of Japanese words meaning two... many of them insanely useless counters.

Well to sum my argument up, feelings or no feelings, one has a choice and must live with the consequences of this choice. Axel made a choice and whined about the consequences of it.

And as for this secret.. it had more personal meaning than the *actual* relationship of those two. This friend and I rped Axel and Roxas, so.. .. Yeah. I didn't expect such a huge argument over it, good lord.

Maybe not to Saix, but to the organization as a whole, though it seems his only connection to the organization was Saix, either way it isolated Roxas and ultimately lead him to believe that no one "cared." Thus is actually the fault of Axel. However, if we are talking about RP here then we are talking about totally different characters. You should have mentioned that.

Honestly, I wouldn't have brought this up if it wasn't for 358/2 days. I probably would've agreed with you.

Axel wasn't exactly loyal to the organization... If he was, he wouldn't have eventually left. I think he was ambitious, meaning, he wanted a heart and knew they were the only way to get it. Yes, it did isolate Roxas, which is true... But it's not entirely his fault. Roxas would have either left or been used either way; and Axel provided him with a semblance of a friend through those times. Xion as well, whom I actually liked, which is, I guess, a blasphemous statement, XD

I enjoyed 358/2 Days, but it did not change my opinion of Axel. I do believe he made plenty of mistakes, but a lot of them were to, in his eyes, protect Roxas and yes, selfishly, keep him near. Keep him around, y'know? Axel clung to the only person he thought he had, and that was Roxas.

I will always love him, I suppose.
