I have never read anything by that guy, but that is supposed to be ugly? By what frickin' standard? I love it! It reminds me of Gunnm. I have to check out this guy's stuff. What's his full name? :)

Hirohiko Araki, he's written and illustrated JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Steel Ball Run.

To OP: I see people do that all the time, but, honestly, I can't get angry at them if I know that they didn't read the manga. Araki's style is very unusual and art in the manga is thousand times better than the stand-alone illustrations that people who make those comments have most likely seen.

Admittedly, OP, you probably shouldn't have used SBR--the art for SBR is hands-down gorgeous, anyone would admit. I admit, Araki's older art is kind of whacked out (though I love all his styles, the style was what got me to keep reading when my interest flagged)

Well, I definitely don't think his art style is ugly(different, but not ugly), but I can't help but be a little disappointed when I realize that it's a guy and not a girl with an awesome outfit XD the man does like to draw androgynous male characters...
