I didn't ship them until season two, when I actually saw Veronica with Duncan, sans incest-angst, and was bored by them. Logan became much more likable to me when the whole Hannah thing went down. Not that I disliked him, but he's not my type, so it took longer for me to truly warm up to him.

I don't think I had any feelings about hooking up in the first season (by the second, I was rooting for Logan/Veronica). But either way, seems like not the sort of thing that should make a difference in a friendship!

Really? I had that sentiment while watching the pilot, or the first part of the season, but once you get their first kiss in WCD I don't see how one can NOT find them shippable, or find it surprising that they were canon at least....

I introduced a friend to VMars, but it helped that I knew ahead of time she wouldn't like the same couple I did. I knew she was always a big fan of "first love" ships, and just like she loved Angel/Buffy to my Spike/Buffy, I knew she'd love Duncan/Veronica to my Logan/Veronica.

But yeah, even she wouldn't have said LoVe had no chem. *hugs you*

just so everyone knows. Duncan/Veronica is NOT my OTP for VMARS. I like Dick/Veronica. I like Logan as a person better than I like Duncan. I appreciate that he loves her but I don't accept that she loves him back. I think he needs someone who can take care of him and she is too fucked up to be able to handle that.

And I'm all about the Wallace/Logan. I've only recently finished watching the series and have no idea what the fandom was/is like. What was the most popular fandom ship?

I started off very heavily Duncan/Veronica, but my god, Logan won me over fast.

One of my favorite scenes in the series is the look on Logan's face when he gets into the jail cell with the boys who tried to rape Veronica. (Season 3) Something about that scene just gave me goosebumps.

I just can't get into Logan/Veronica - I don't feel like he can make up for his utter psycho-ness in the first season. I guess I'm projecting a bit - if a guy smashed my car up and my life hell, I don't think I could ever move past it. Honestly, I don't see how he's any better than Duncan. I ship Weevil/Veronica all the way.

I feel you....LoVe all the way! Luckily I didn't have that issue when I converted my friend...

But yeah, you should be able to survive the ship differences, I mean I am Jacob/Bella all the way and my bff is Edward/Bella...;)
