How the hell did you dealt with this issue before generative AI?
This is what I want to hear from people who deal with rare pairs like this: what did you do before?

And also: what's the pleasure in reading something regurgitated from a machine that don't like the ship and has no passion for it? Because for me personally it's the thought that a perverse freak human being took time and passion and horny energy to write something and released it for free to be communally consumed that makes me continue reading fanfiction. When you find that specific fic with that specific trope/kink that SOMEONE ELSE wrote in their spare time? Fucking priceless. Heaven on earth.
A machine did it? MEH. Whatever. YAWN

Use your AI if you really want to, but I don't get you. I don't really want to judge you, but I always end up thinking you and other people like you are doing fandom wrong. Don't you understand why derivative fiction/art is one of the best (if not the best) form of art there is?

Or just don't publish it, like I do. I'm not a writer either, but I do sometimes write little scenarios on random .txt files to brain dump what I'd like to read/see of my favourite ships. And when I was younger I had a physical journal where I did that + some ugly fanarts.
You don't need to be good or share your labours of love to enjoy your ships.

IMO using generative AI for fandom stuff is the environmental equivalent of taking a plane ride once a year for vacation. Compared to the people who fly DAILY, who own their own private jets, who LAUNCH ROCKETS ffs... come on.

This comm loves to get on their high horse about AI, and I'm honestly baffled about why and what's actually behind all the sanctimony. But it does appear to be the new trend that people used environment-shaming for whatever behavior they don't like.
