DA - see for me I don't need that level of realism. You can just handwave or not even address it and I'm okay with that.

I mean, that's fine, too. They're romances.

I'm only picky about military settings in particular.

It could be noted that the workplaces where I've had the MOST gay friends were military, and most people were out to me/their friends if not their bosses.

Yeah, we all have our particulars. I have a friend that was so particular about military details they can't do fandom with realistic military anymore.

Luckily my picky thing is archaeology, which doesn't come up much!
