I resent all the characters a little simply for being young and having fun (as well as the angst), and not realising that they should stop trying to be adults so fast. But that's also why I like the show as well.

See, this is partly why I never liked the show. Whoever you are, OP, you don't have to be some drug-addled obnoxious party kid to be 'exciting'. I've had more fun with the 'average' person in RL than people like those, every time.

its why i resent this show. it makes everyone think that it's a fun/cool/exciting way to live when really its just a bunch of selfish, irresponsible brats being douchebags to everyone else. not fun at all.

theres ways to make your average life more exciting and get more out of it without becoming one of those twats.

Sweetheart, by the end of the series one of them was kicked out/run away and died, one of them had received a severe head trauma, resulting in brain damage and a ton of psychological issues, one of them was pregnant and the one who was with the one who died as he died run away to New York. All before they're nineteen. That's kind of fucked up.

It's a good series if you like that sort of thing. In the long run, it's not such a great lifestyle.

I do get what you mean.

It is kinda stupid, but I think everyone has that from time to time. We all like to have a bit of risk from time to time, and everyone has that "OMG, I've not lived enough!" moment. But you can start living like that anytime, it's not like you've wasted time by not starting sooner. If anything I'd say it would be better waiting; if you do end up having to deal with the consequences, chances are you'll be better equipped to deal with it, and you'll be saddled with it for less time.

But hey, as far as you're concerned, I'm just a bunch of pixels, right? Don't let me tell you what's stupid and what isn't.

Meh, they're not really exciting. Just dumb kids who think lots of sex and drugs make them edgy and cool and realistic portrayals of young people or some shit, idk their lives are so boring to me. I've been to parties, I know kids who act up like them, but there's nothing there for me.

Trust me OP you may THINK you want that life and that it's "exciting".

It's not. It's a pain in the ass, there's too much drama and shit left right and center and what they do DOES get boring when it happens over and over and over and over and over. Skins is NOT real life.

Take it from someone who had that life, and LEFT it for a so-called "average" and "boring" one, you are NOT missing ANYTHING--- Except maybe a stint in rehab/therapy and an STD or two.

Plus if you're doing drugs/parties/etc like that just cuz you think it makes you cooler and more exciting-- you're doing it wrong. :(
