I dunno, one of my old high school friends wrote out her entire desired cast list as soon as the series was announced. She is very angry that none of the people on it were picked thus far.

no worries, it's not too invested just to have a dream-cast. (Peter Dinklage was my mental face and voice for Tyrion when I first read the books 3 years ago, and when he was cast you have NO IDEA HOW JAZZED I WAS. My dream-casts NEVER get casted, EVER. EXCEPT THIS ONE TIME AND IT WAS GLORIOUS.) also, I've never thought of who should play Petyr but Michael Sheen would ROCK THAT SHIT.

I disagree. He's too old. It's all about James Callis. NOW WE MUST FIGHT TO THE DEATH.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! He was my mental image of Petyr long before the HBO series was announced and I might actually cry if he doesn't get the part.

YES! This! I've been hung up on the idea of a Wayback Machine-ed Gary Oldman playing Petyr, but no one's built a Wayback Machine yet, so Michael Sheen would be awesome. Technically, he's a bit too old, but Sean Bean is about 15 years older than Ned was in the book, so it makes sense that TV Petyr would be a little older too.

I'm really pleased with the Ned, Cat, and Tyrion casting so far, but I'm still sad that Richard Armitage isn't going to be the Hound. Yeah, he's probably too pretty, but he's got the right look and the right voice.
