OH MY GOD HOW DARE YOU INSULT CASTIE- oh, wait.

But seriously ;), I think (or, at least, hope) 90% of the jumping on thing isn't so much people saying they don't like Castiel, because fair enough, people have their likes and dislikes; it's the secrets that basically say "If you like Castiel you're an idiot and/or not a true fan" that rile people up. Oh, and secrets that imply you can't like Castiel AND seasons 1 to 3, although that falls in with the 'not a true fan' type of secret.

Most Castiel fans are pretty chill. In fact, shockingly, most of the SPN fans I know in general are pretty chill. But when people come in saying they dislike our shiny new thing AND attack us in the same breath, it's not that surprising people should take offense.

Plus, it's not like those of us, myself included, who ARE into Wincest don't get riled up when people call us sick/delusional/not true fans just for liking it.

THIS x one MILLION. I like seasons 1-3 AND S4 AND S5 (so far) AND I'll occasionally read Wincest AND I love J2. The only thing I don't actually like particularly is Cas/Dean. I've even said so in mishaland and afaict, no one cares. (But I am totes a fan of mishaland's official new ship: Cas/Sam.)

I ship pretty much everything EXCLUDING THINGS WITH ZACHARIAH D: OH GOD WHY so the whole you can't like one and like the other thing makes me T_T a lot. But I will confess - I don't really do the OTP thing. So maybe I just don't understand what it's like loving one ship at the expense of others. ^^

UNF indeed. I am baffled at Sam's lack of powers!!!! Ruby said he never needed the demon blood anyway, he should still have his powers. Which he could use to hold Cas still while they glare angrily and sexily at each other.

I think he's supposed to have 'used them up' on Lilith, but this makes me :(. Because lets face it, Sam's powers were pretty hot ;). And it'd make Sam/Castiel all the more fun because the power dynamics would be kind of equal, and that always makes for sexytimes <3!

THERE SHOULD BE MORE SAM/CAS EYESEX. I mean, the Dean/Cas eyesexing is delicious and all, but holy puppy-versus-kitten off. If Dean accidentally walked through the middle it'd be like that hypnotism stare-off sketch!

But the dark horse in amongst them, I reckon, is Jared ;). After all, he found out about the SPN Charlie-the-Unicorn thing. HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW, MR PADALECKI?

But yes, I would approve of Sam-with-powers returning, unless it meant poor Sam getting hooked on demon blood again. AU FICS, HERE I COME.

What's a stan?

Is it a play on country names? Like in Castielstan you get locked in a gulag for the rest of your life if you don't like Castiel?

AIUI, a stan is a cross between a stalker and a fan. I don't know how there could be stalkers of Castiel, though, seeing as he's a fictional character and exists only from 9-10 on Thursday nights. And in fic. And in our ~*~hearts~*~.

'stalker fan' is a nice way to think of it but 'stan' really originated from the Eminem song of the same name - the one about the creepy-obsessed fanboy who sent increasingly creepy messages to his hero.

1) Am I the only person who gets wickedly delighted when other people dislike characters/actors/ships that I love? I guess as a supporter of said person/ship I should want them to have lots of fans, but I pretty much always just think 'bwa ha, more for me.' I guess that's a bit weird.

2) DUDE, YES! I can't even accurately perceive his current attractiveness-level anymore because I love him so much (...if that makes sense to anyone other than me), but dude. Adorable.

n!s1: Everytime I see Castiel fans jumping on an anti-Castiel secret, it's because it not only says that the OP doesn't like Castiel, but that Castiel fans are ruining fandom/they're so annoying/the show is no longer about the brothers because of Castiel/etc. And they jump for THOSE reasons, not because Castiel is disliked.

It is a really, really beautiful opening. I haven't seen the anime (read the manga, though) but damn the anime has a gorgeous opening.

It is gorgeous! I feel a little bad for not even trying the anime when the opening is so lovely, but I really don't care for things that are that angsty.

Y-yeah, it's...if the anime is anything like the manga, it's definitely not for everyone. I love it! But not everyone will.
