There was a sequel? D: D: D:

There was, I forget it's name. It was based well after the first movie*, times are bad blah blah blah, chosen one comes across the lost dragon egg that will save them and from it hatches the Chosen One of dragons and... yeah.

It's no where near as good as the original.

*this is what I get for thinking of fic too much. To be fair, the sequal was kind of like a bad fic.

The sad thing is, I am probably going to end up watching this.

Yeah, I know. I would too in your place. It's the price we pay for being fans.

At the very least, though, the sequel movie makes up for its otherwise craptastical nature a little with the multiple lovely-to-watch dragons... That counts for something... right? lol.

I'd recommend reading the novelization of the original movie, if you can find it. (I found it on amazon, actually.) Charles Pogue - the guy who wrote the script of the movie - also wrote said novelization, which is closer to his original script and is thus a bit darker but nevertheless rather good.

I found the novelization at Half Price Books. It's definitely hit and miss, but it's a place to look.
