That looks like a typical Fixed Promotional Smile^TM to me. When someone is too tired/frustrated/whatever to put their back into acting like they're feeling it, but smiles for the cameras anyway because they don't want to come off as grouchy/sad/brooding or anything that makes it seem like they aren't grateful to be there.

What are some of your favorite crossover fics?

I like a good crossover and I love a good fusion. But finding the ones where the writer has a decent grasp of both (or all) fandoms, strikes a balance that can I enjoy, and focuses on characters I'm interested in, can be a challenge.

Oh man, agreed so hard. I love love TRIANGLES where there's a solid dynamic/relationships between all three of the characters involved. I have zero interest when it's two characters individually lusting after a third but never interacting themselves.

Those two things are not the same at all.

What makes a crossover/fusion good is what makes any fic good; decent characterization, for one.
