I generally don't know the ages of the people I'm interacting with. I don't ask because I don't consider it important, that being said I'm not trying to be bff's with anyone, just chat headcanons and stuff.

i get it tbh

if i never have to hear about another person's exams again, it'll still be too soon. (and yes i am aware people 25+ and 30+ can be in school and have exams but it's much less common with older people.)

Unless they're medical exams, which some older people love to discuss

Same :( I wish there were more 30+ exclusive spaces.

I don't think about the ages of people online enough, to be honest.

Sometimes I debate, I suppose that's the nicest way to put it, with someone who has a take so childish and just plain ignorant that I get mad, thinking they're an adult rage baiting. Now, I'm pretty sure most of them aren't griefing me and actually are preteens or teenagers who don't know anything, because they haven't lived long enough to experience much.

I try not to know ages, I don't care enough. But yeah, I would really like to have more adult spaces.

The most active person in my tiny fandom is 20. I stay away from mainstream social media so they're my main link to any fandom news/fanart etc., but god yeah, I wish they'd stop oversharing about young people things that idgaf about in the same breath as offering interesting fandom stuff.

I assume by default that anyone 25 or younger is an anti. And anyone under 30 is on thin ice. It used to be 20, but we are aging and antis still haven't gone away. I've read actual published authors and then looked them up and seen they were saying anti bs on their social media accounts.

I think the tide is changing a bit. Some 30+ peers I used to know on forums in 2008 are antis now, but I'm finding more 18-24 year old profic/proshippers on Twitter.

repost of misfire, sorry.

Hilarious how you actually think you know. I'm sure you've meant this in every retrospect you've been a part of, but between you believing the ages people put forth compared to the majority of most people who often lie about their ages. All I can do is laugh.

I generally just talk to anyone I know or perceive is young (younger than mid 20s - give or take) like I'm their aunt because they just remind me of my sister's kids and their friends.

But I understand why some people don't want young adults (and kids) in their fandom spaces.
I'm not in fandom much anymore, so IDK if my opinion counts for anything lmao
