Everyone is in love with the Dune movie adaptation. I just can't. What was done to Jessica's characters, and, to a slightly lesser extent Chani, just ruins it for me.

I watched the first part and thought it wasn't bad, but it didn't wow me (I didn't like some of the character choices and the feel of the whole movie wasn't quite what I'd hoped for). I haven't seen the second part, and I don't know if I ever will, which I'm okay with that. I loved the book, and I liked the extended version of the 1984 movie, so take that as you will.

YES!

The first part wasn't too bad, but yeah, what they did with Chani ruined the whole thing for me. They couldn't just leave her alone, as someone who actually loved Paul for who he was?

Seriously, this and The Acolyte are the only times I've watched something and felt like the MAGAts were on to something with their screaming and whining about the "woke agenda".
