The image is from in progress Pokemon so it's meant to be a halfway point between Sentret and Furret. They named it Scoutret.

Evolution is meant to make them tougher and more mature though, right, so it's unlikely that they'd get cuter – surely it makes sense for the unevolved ones to be the cute ones. (Politoed, though … definitely a winner.)

I like Furret and agree that it's much cuter than Sentret, but I think Wigglytuff and Raichu are also major upgrades in cuteness over their previous evolutions. They're just more huggable, you know?
